Title: Leagues 6 - Demonic Pacts
Post by: Meltii on Apr 27, 2026, 01:35 PM
We're about 10 days into the new OSRS leagues and I'm super curious to hear everyones thoughts on some of the new systems introduced, and how y'all feel about the league. Some of the things I'm curious about I'll list below, and I'll try to update my post underneath this with my thoughts on everything as well!

Possible talking points

- New Echo Items
- Echo Bosses
- Builds you found fun or underwhelming
- The Demonic Pact System as a whole
- Getting Karamja later in the league
- No Misthalin
- Starting in Varlamore
- Relics
- Day 1 Experience
- Themeing
- Anything else you wanna bring up!

Starting in Valarmore has been super good IMO. Not only is it a change of pace, but also Valarmore is more well thought out than Misthalin given that it's the most recent region so it definitely feels much more well thought out, and there's a lot more to do, even early game. It has been a lot of fun, specially since i never really explored it in the main game before. IMO they could do this more often. Ideally they should make gridmaster style events being locked to 1 region cause i do miss the twisted league.

As for the pacts, while i enjoy the skilltree, i do think that some builds are defo way more OP than others. This time around ranged finally got nerfed, melee has it's moments and mage is really OP.

And while we're at it, one of my biggest complaints is exactly the combat style system. If they want to make it this way where you proc into a specific combat style, they should do what RS3 does and just let you use it for that boss. Over there a lot of bosses don't have specific defences against certain combat styles so all of them are viable to kill the bosses with. Nothing kills the hype for me more than making a crazy build, and then having to do normal combat because a boss defence to the style i chose is too high (vardorvis and magic/ranged) or bosses still having damaged caps (olm's hands still have the damage cap so you either do piss all damage, or have to go through the hype of just doing normal combat). Really wish they adressed that.
